Hi all,
I know i’ve been quiet for over a week now, but i’m just letting you all know that I’m just about finished working on a few other websites and as a result have a heap of new articles i’ve been whipping up after my experiences of the last week. Also I’ll be adding some articles about yet another CMS, DotNetNuke, to what I cover. So come back in the next few days for the first of my new articles on optimising the CMS of your choosing. And as always dont forget to leave a comment if there’s a specific problem you have with your CMS, and you want me to look into it and write an instructional article on fixing it.
Thats all, so stay tuned for my upcoming series of articles:)

That’s right,
Today is an exciting day, 2 side projects I’ve been working on: my wife’s website that I blogged about 5 minutes ago, and www.colour-blindness.com, are as of now online.
Colour Blindness is something I’ve suffered my entire life, so as an exercise in using wordpress to build a nice website CMS, rather than as a blogging tool, I decided to create a page to inform and aid others who suffer this somewhat frustrating vision dysfunction.
I chose wordpress as I believe it has a solid foundation on which to build fantastic SEO without having to manually code websites from scratch. I’ve used a number of plug-ins, and as for Joomla with my wife’s website, the colour blindness one has been an inspiration for my upcoming guides on SEO for WordPress, as well as to blog about the various tweaks I’ve had to made.
If you’re colour blind – you may want to take a look, otherwise you probably dont:). The link is at the top of this post.

Hi all,
I’ve been working hard to provide the IT brains for my wifes new online business website. I spent my time mostly modifying a Joomla installation and building a theme based on the artwork my talented wife provided. At last its all paid off and the website is up and running! She’s still adding her products and building her site content, but its online and working!
Her website is called Lissylane, you can visit it here. If you’re in the process of planning a wedding, I highly recommend you check it out, she provides amazing alternatives to using real flowers, as well as some unique and creative decorations for the ceremony. The Flowers she hand-crafts to use for your wedding bouquet leave you with a lasting heirloom that will be as good as the day you carried it down the aisle for the rest of your life. She also demonstrates many other uses for flowers made in the same way such as corsages, hair clips, fascinators, the list goes on!
To make the website function as intended, I had to modify many parts of the system, working with and sometimes fixing various plug-ins to provide and end result that hopefully looks good, and is also as search engine optimised as possible. This website is the core source of information for the upcoming series on Joomla SEO, as well as the various Joomla related theming and modding blog entries I’ve made, and am yet to make.
I hope you enjor her site! www.lissylane.com!
